Amzie Strickland (January 10, 1919 - July 5, 2006) appeared in episodes of The Andy Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. She was married to actor Frank Behrens. She played recurring characters on the TV series "Carter Country" and "ER". Her film appearances include Man with the Gun, Captain Newman M.D., Kotch, Harper Valley P.T.A., The Golden Girls, Pretty Woman, Doc Hollywood, Shiloh, Krippendorf's Tribe and Disney's I'll Be Home for Christmas.
