Plot

Andy and Helen return to Mayberry for the christening of their son, Andrew Samuel Taylor, Jr. They ask Sam Jones if he will be the baby's Godfather. This upsets Goober, Howard, and Emmett. Andy and Helen eventually decide that baby Andrew will have 4 Godfathers.

Notes

• Goober mentions that he introduced Andy to Helen. This doesn't mesh. Helen was Opie's teacher and she meets Andy for the first time in Season 3's Andy Discovers America. They decide to date a few episodes later in A Wife for Andy.
• It was actually Barney that brought the two together.
• This episode is the last physical appearance of Andy and Helen in Mayberry RFD.
