Plot

After a discussion with Andy, Helen, Goober, and Howard about their big moments in life, Aunt Bee determines that she hasn’t had one. She decides to start taking flying lessons with the goal of flying solo as a big moment.

Notes/Trivia

• Aunt Bee flies in a plane whose tail number is N5955B. Its a 1956 CESSNA 182A and is currently owned by Hayes William Michael in Santa Ana, CA.
• The airport is actually in the San Fernando Valley.
• Though Aunt Bee has won a complete kitchen set on a TV game show and even starred in her own cooking show (among other accomplishments throughout the series), we are to assume that none of these were big moments worth bragging about. Therefore, her need to do something special like flying a plane.

Goofs

• When Aunt Bee flys solo you can tell they filmed her with the door removed because you can see the weather stripping and open latch.
