Bernard "Fearless" Fife who always tried his best to outwit the criminal or even just a boy, often attempted undercover police tactics. Often for Barney, the criminal and even townspeople could see right through his disguises. Almost all the time however, his tactics went noticed and either they worked, or per usual, Andy would have to save the day.
