Dabbs Greer

Dabbs Greer (April 2, 1917 - April 28, 2007) appeared in episodes of The Andy Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. He is well remembered for playing the recurring characters of Wilbur Jonas on "Gunsmoke", Reverend Alden on "Little House on the Prairie" and Rev. Henry Novotny on "Picket Fences". His film appearances include Father's Little Dividend, Monkey Business, Million Dollar Mermaid, The Bad and the Beautiful, Julius Caesar, Dream Wife, Take the High Ground!, The Seven Little Foys, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Meet Me in Las Vegas, The Spirit of St. Louis, Johnny Tremain, My Man Godfrey, I Want to Live!, Wives and Lovers, Roustabout, Shenandoah, The Cheyenne Social Club, Chu Chu and the Philly Flash, Little Giants, Con Air and The Green Mile.
