Dr. Bennett was a local Mayberry physician. He comes to the Taylor home to examine Goober, who is suffering from whiplash. He was portrayed by George Selk.
He lived at least 40 years in Mayberry and when he left, Dr. Thomas Petersen took over his medical practice. (A New Doctor in Town)
