Everett Greenbaum (December 20, 1919 - July 11, 1999) co-wrote, with Jim Fritzell, 29 episodes of The Andy Griffith Show and one episode of Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C.. He co-wrote the TV movie Return to Mayberry with Harvey Bullock. He also wrote episodes of the TV series "Mister Peepers" (receiving one Emmy nomination), "The George Gobel Show" (one Emmy nomination), "The Real McCoys", "The New Andy Griffith Show", "The Odd Couple", "Love American Style", "Sanford and Son", "M*A*S*H" and "Lou Grant". He wrote the screenplays for the films The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, The Reluctant Astronaut and The Shakiest Gun in the West, all starring Don Knotts, and Angel in My Pocket, starring Andy Griffith. In The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, he is the offscreen voice shouting "Attaboy, Luther!" He also played the recurring character of Judge Lawrence Katz on "Matlock".
