Herbert "Herb" Ellis (born Herbert Siegel, January 17, 1921 – December 26, 2018) appeared in one episode of The Andy Griffith Show (credited as "Herb Ellis"). He was an American actor known for playing characters in the TV series "Dragnet" and "Peter Gunn" and appeared in the films Pete Kelly's Blues, The Fortune Cookie, The Party and Hang 'em High.
