Irving "Iz" or "Izzy" Elinson (April 8, 1907 - December 28, 1967) co-wrote three episodes of The Andy Griffith Show and two episodes of Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. He also wrote episodes of the TV series "The Real McCoys", "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis", "Mister Ed", "The Joey Bishop Show", "Make Room for Daddy", "My Favorite Martian", "Petticoat Junction", "F Troop" and "Bewitched". He co-wrote the Bob Hope comedy The Lemon Drop Kid. His brother is writer Jack Elinson.
