Mary Wiggins was a classmate of Opie's. She is popular and as Opie described her, "The prettiest girl in the first grade". She has freckles, braids, a bandage on her knee and a tooth out. Andy crowned her at Floyd's Barbershop as "Miss Mayberry Junior". She was portrayed by Joy Ellison.
