Notes/Trivia

  • Before she got the new organ, Clara played "Love Lifted Me" (#256 in the hymn book) during church services because the song doesn't contain too many flats.
  • The old organ is actually a reed organ, also known as a pump organ.
  • Clara played and sang "Some Enchanted Evening" to Mr Robinson, seducing him to let the Mayberry church have the organ without having enough money to cover the full cost.
  • In the beginning of the episode Andy mentions Reverend Tucker and his sermon. The actor William Keene is listed as "Reverend" in the closing credits. Sometimes he is Rev. Tucker other times Rev. Martin.
  • Woodrow "Woody" Chambliss played the role of butter and egg man Orville Hendricks in "Aunt Bee's Invisible Beau" (Season 5, Episode 27).
