Plot[]
No one is more surprised than Aunt Bee when the owner of a local TV station asks her to host a daily cooking show. He's been checking around town for the best cook available and there's a consensus that Aunt Bee is the right choice. She's a bit nervous at the prospect but is more concerned about who will take care of Andy and Opie and cook their meals. To make sure she doesn't change turn the opportunity down, Andy creates a fictitious cook who will come in every day. In fact, Andy is cooking their meals, to Opie's dismay. Aunt Bee soon catches on and decides to make things right.
Notes/Trivia[]
- Aunt Bee realized in the episode "The Foster Lady" that being a celebrity would take too much of her time just from doing a single furniture polish commercial and turned it down, yet she agrees to be the star of an entire cooking show that runs all the time.
- The cooking show was shown on WZAZ TV Channel 12.
Goofs[]
- The station owner mentions to Aunt Bee that there will be two cameras used during the cooking show from two different angles. However, when we see Aunt Bee on the TV screen at the Taylor’s home, she is looking to the right and the left at the two cameras, yet there is obviously a third camera capturing her from between those two. But when we see the studio (as Aunt Bee goes to retrieve her spoon from her basket), there is no third middle camera.
